Who Is the Typical Patient for Vivelle-Dot®?

Vivelle-Dot estrogen therapy may be suitable for a variety of patient types. Below are examples of patient types who could benefit from transdermal estrogen therapy with Vivelle-Dot. These cases are not based on actual patients.



Susan

  • Female age 52. Vaginal hysterectomy at 48.
  • BMI 20. No cardiovascular history. BP 120/85.
  • Experiencing severe hot flashes and night sweats.
  • No contraindications to estrogen therapy and favorable family history.


Linda

  • Female age 50. Complete (total) abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy at 48.
  • Diagnosed with osteoporosis.
  • No history of stroke or cardiovascular disease.
  • Experiencing moderate hot flashes and vaginal dryness and atrophy.
  • No contraindications to estrogen therapy and favorable family history.


Tina

  • Female age 48. Laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy with removal of both ovaries three months prior.
  • No history of breast cancer.
  • Had few menopause symptoms before surgery.
  • Now experiencing frequent and moderate hot flashes and vaginal dryness. Has tried local agents with no relief.
  • Family history of osteoporosis.
  • No contraindications to estrogen therapy and favorable family history.
